I think this is a great idea. 3D printed or not, having the fuselage plastic and the wings foam seems like it would be a good way to go. 3d Model on SketchFab. I plan on building a ScanEable like flying wing (but much smaller) I plan on having the main fuselage assembly 3d printed with all the necessary supports for bolting on easily damaged parts, that can be replaced as they get worn.
